Donate to the Club
The Gilbert Model Railroad Club (GMRC) is a member‑owned and operated nonprofit social club located in Gilbert, Arizona. Our mission is to preserve, operate, and continually improve our HO‑scale model railroad layout, which has brought joy to families, hobbyists, and museum visitors for many years. As a 501(c)(7) organization, we rely heavily on membership dues and generous public donations to sustain our operations, enhance our displays, and support ongoing improvements to the railroad.
We gratefully accept donations of model trains, HO‑scale equipment, locomotives, rolling stock, scenery materials, tools, and other hobby‑related items that can benefit the club. Donated items may be incorporated directly into our layouts, reserved for future expansion, used for restoration projects, or sold for the benefit of the club if they cannot be used operationally. Every contribution helps us maintain a high‑quality, historically inspired model railroad experience for the community.
If you are interested in donating, you are welcome to stop by on Saturdays during regular HDSouth Museum hours, when our volunteers are available to assist. For those unable to visit on Saturdays, we are happy to arrange a pickup or alternate drop‑off time that works for your schedule. Simply contact us through our website or send us a message, and a club representative will follow up with you promptly.
Please note that, as a 501(c)(7) nonprofit, donations to the GMRC are not tax‑deductible, and we are unable to issue receipts. Individuals wishing to make cash donations are encouraged to contribute directly to our gracious host, the HDSouth Museum, which supports our presence and community outreach.
Your generosity helps preserve the art and history of model railroading in Gilbert, Arizona. Thank you for your continued support and consideration.
